Past Government Experience 

Multispectral Compression:  US Air Force

Innovative multi-spectral remote sensed imagery compression algorithms for the US Air Force were developed under contract. The main advantage of the solution was its low complexity which facilitated an on-board satellite implementation. This technology was patented by COMSAT Labs( US Patent 5,513,128)

HDTV Compression: NASA

A powerful HDTV compression system was developed under the auspices of the NASA Advanced Technology Program. The compression system, which predated the DVB and ATSC standards used sub-band coding and vector quantization  to fit an entire HDTV signal within a transponder. This technology was patented by Comsat Labs (US Patent 5,337,085)
